The epic struggle for control of the galaxy continues. The Galactic Empire tightens its grip, amassing huge space armadas with a war machine the likes of which had not been seen since the time of the Clone Wars. With Imperial shipyards churning out a seemingly unending supply of TIE fighters and ever larger and more impressive Star Destroyer class war cruisers, is there hope?
In the face of their seemingly insurmountable foe, the Rebel Alliance grows ever bolder. With their resolve galvanised by the increasingly tyrannical actions of the Empire, the Alliance to Restore the Republic grows stronger as the oppressed peoples of the galaxy flock to join up and fight back. And with rumours surfacing of a new technological terror with the sheer power to decimate entire planets, the Rebellion's plight grows even more desperate. The Empire quite simply must be stopped.
It is in these dark times that heroes are made. Soldiers with the grim determination to maintain order no matter what the cost. Freedom fighters with the courage to battle against tyranny and oppression in all its forms. It is on these battlefields on land and in space, where the fate of the galaxy will be decided.
Preparations for the Nations in Conflict First Strike Campaign continue. The Commanders for the two factions have now been selected, two long standing members of the First Strike community, Gwynzer (Taking on the role of Commander of the Imperial: 501st Legion) and Angel (Tackling the role of Commander of the Rebel Alliance: SpecForce). They are veteran players of First Strike who have been around since the first release of the mod, and as regular players for all these years should have invaluable knowledge of tactics and experience to share with those under their command. Now in full swing is the process of recruiting Officers who will be put in command of the squads that will battle it out over the campaign, and of course the grunts that will form the backbone of both faction's military might.
